At Inland Xpress, we’re constantly working to improve our processes as we grow. With the addition of new customers and drivers this year, it’s time to implement a new industry-standard policy to ensure operations run smoothly for everyone.
Starting January 1, 2025, all paperwork for a load must be submitted before you will be paid for a load.
This policy is critical for a few key reasons:
Ensuring Timely Payments: We rely on accurate and complete paperwork to invoice our customers. Without it, we can’t collect payment from them. In some cases, we’ve had paperwork lost or so mangled by the time it gets back to the office the customer refuses to pay which makes it really difficult to run a successful business.
Supporting Growth: As we grow, consistent processes help us maintain our high standards of efficiency and service.
Alignment with Industry Standards: This is the best practice in the industry. As our driver team, you are ultimately responsible for the paperwork and therefore if you can’t get the paperwork turned in we can’t collect the money timely to pay you for the load.
What This Means for You
After completing a load, make sure to submit all required documents promptly via samsara document capture or drive axle. Please include all pages the Bill of Lading, Proof of Delivery, Stickers if provided (i.e. Costco/Walmart), and Lumper receipts.
Double-check with your dispatcher to make sure the paperwork is received. If we don’t receive it by Sunday at 23:59 pm then the load will not be paid out that week.
We’re confident this change will benefit both the company and our drivers by ensuring a smoother process and fewer payment delays.
Questions or Concerns?
We understand that change can take some getting used to. If you have any questions about this policy or need clarification, please reach out to your dispatcher, Driver Relations, or anyone in Management.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement this important update. Your hard work and professionalism are what keep Inland Xpress moving forward and we’re sincerely grateful for all of you!
Stay safe on the road,
Lindy Smith
