Heavy rain and flash flooding remain possible along the western Gulf Coast and into the Lower Mississippi Valley Friday.

A couple rounds of winter weather including snow and possibly significant ice accumulations expected into the weekend from the northern Plains east through the Upper Midwest and the interior Northeast/New England.

Showers and thunderstorms, possibly severe, expected overnight Saturday across portions of the Central/Southern Plains into the Middle Mississippi Valley.

Wyoming

Slightly cooler temperatures are forecast across the Cowboy State today. Scattered showers moved through this morning with another round of showers expected by the afternoon/evening. Cool, unsettled weather looks to continue into the weekend with snow chances returning.

Mountain snow is expected tonight for the Sierra Madre and Snowy Ranges. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Sierra Madre Range from 6 PM this evening until 12 PM Saturday. Snow accumulations up to 8 inches are expected. Outdoor recreation could become dangerous to those caught unprepared for hazardous winter conditions.

Nebraska:

There is an isolated chance for showers and thunderstorms this evening. Generally, from a line from Imperial to Butte and points east and south. Thunderstorm activity will be in the evening and overnight hours. Large hail will be the main concern.
