A stationary frontal boundary draped west to east from the Southern Plains to the Southeast will be the focus for showers and thunderstorms the next several days. Record heat will continue across the Northwest Tuesday, posing an increased risk for heat-related illnesses. Take precaution during the warmest part of the day. High temperatures will soar well into the 90s and low 100s over the interior and lower elevations away from the water. In addition, breezy conditions pose an increased fire weather risk.
